In most cases, those who want to take advantage of resveratrol are often found looking for dietary or health supplements to take advantage of its benefits. Keep in mind that this substance is commonly found in plants and you can get a lot more from it if you use its raw, edible form. Here are some of the foods and plants today that contain this substance that you can include in your daily diet.

1. Grapes

We all know for a fact that red wine is now being used to promote a healthy lifestyle. This is all made possible with the presence of resveratrol in grapes that is its main ingredient.

The original source of resveratrol as discovered in 1963 is in the Japanese Knotweed. The locals utilize the roots of the plant that contains a high concentration of the substance to treat common health problems and ailments. Some of them even pickle the roots and use them as tinctures. Today, the roots of Japanese Knotweed are now being synthesized and used in many diet and health supplements.
